About Mando Group

Mando Group AB is a privately owned healthcare company with five clinics in Sweden. The Mando Group includes the sister companies AB Mando and Mandolean AB; caregiver of eating disorder treatment regardless of weight and Mandometer AB that manages and administrates the patent rights.

A few years ago we started to consider the idea that the method that we had been using to increase the body weight of those with anorexia could also be used to decrease the weight of obese people. Clinical trials were started to treat patients with severe obesity. The results showed that normalizing eating behavior had a big effect not only on the body weight of the patients but also on their wellbeing and self-esteem.

At the Mandolean® Clinic, we focus on how you eat rather than on what you eat. By learning to identify your biological satiety signals you will gain total control of your food intake and body weight without starving yourself.

The Mando Group's main office is located in Karolinska Institutet Science Park >
at the Karolinska Hospital in Huddinge, Sweden. At that clinic, research is carried out in collaboration with the Karolinska Institute. This first and largest Mandometer® clinic has 24-hour in-patient care, daycare clinic and a patient hotel.

Research on the Mandometer® method has been published in several of the world's leading medical and scientific journals, including the Lancet, PNAS, and Nature Medicine.

Mandometer® was awarded the Great Embedded Prize for Technical Innovation in 2006. Julian Shield, M.D. Ph.D., the lead researcher of the obesity clinical trial that was completed at the University of Bristol received the Clinical Excellence Award 2006 for that study.
